It’s time again for the Nth Annual Value Village Formal!

That’s right, it’s back again for another year! Value Village is being cleaned out for our annual VALUE VILLAGE FORMAL! We know that with the end of midterms you’ve been looking for an excuse to go out and get drunk so here it is! The only time of the year when looking good means looking really really bad.

Crazy tacky grad outfits are a must in case you haven’t already figured it out.

$5 gets you a ticket, which means no line, no cover AND a free drink of your choice! And did we mention $4 jager shots??

We’ll be by Timmies in Mac Hall all next week selling tickets so why not drop by, pick up a ticket and maybe give us that free coffee you’ve just won for working so hard on such an awesome event (we’re only kidding of course, we know as well as you do that no one actually wins on roll up…)!

And to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, ALL proceeds from the ticket sales go to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Because we execs care we’ve got a party bus coming at 9pm to pick you all up between Kananaskis and Rundle on 24th Ave to give you lots of time to pre-game!

Well kids, Mustache March is upon us once again, and that means only one thing…OUR KIMBERLEY SKI TRIP IS ONLY A COUPLE WEEKS AWAY! Now we know you’ve all been eagerly awaiting info on this trip, so trust us when we say that your patience was well worth it! We’ve saved the best for last: on-hill condo’s, bbq’s, patio’s, and either spring t-shirt skiing or the amazing conditions that the BC East Kootenays are known for.

FERNIE TRIP Now on Sale!

Thanks to popular demand, we have this year decided to add a trip to Fernie Alpine Resort, and what better time to do it than the final weekend of Reading Week. The snow at this hill NEVER disappoints, and with the new Polar Peak lift opening this season, Fernie can only be described with one word: EPIC. Except that word is way too overused, so we suggest you come on the trip and decide for yourself how to describe this incredible hill!

Cost: $285 per person, cash or cheque
Number of buses: 1 (56 people total)

Our annual Revy Trip is one you do not want to miss! KICKING HORSE TRIP SALE!!!

So if you haven’t heard, Kicking Horse is getting PUKED on right now, so we’re thinking it’s about time we sell our annual gong show of a trip to Golden, BC and get burried in a sh*t tonne of powder!

TRIP GOES ON SALE WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH @ 8:30AM! We’ll be in our usual spot in MSC 279, beside the Stor in Mac Hall.

Year after year, our regulars and new comers alike agree that this is one of the best trips they’ve ever been on – the partying is ridiculous and the skiing/riding is even better. We’ve had 50+ cm of fresh powder both of the last two years, and it’s looking like La Nina is back in full force this season, so (knock on wood) it’ll happen again. Hopefully we won’t get snowed in for an extra night again like last year…

COST: $240 per person, cash or cheque, full payment required up front
DATE: Friday, Jan. 13th through Sunday, Jan. 15th
WHO: You of course! You are also allowed to sign up ONE friend along with yourself

Movember Wrap-Up Party @ The Den!

This year, we’ve partnered with The Den to help promote their annual Movember party! This Friday, Nov. 25th, expect a night of mustache good times, with drink specials and prizes to be had. Tickets are only $5, and all proceeds go to prostate cancer research and the Movember movement. We will be selling tickets in Mac Hall Thursday and Friday from 11-2pm! Make sure to pick one up!

It’s Parka Season Kids!

Do you like patios? Do you like your parent’s tacky old parkas? Do you like shot skis? Do you like BULLDOGS? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then get your sexy ass down to Julio’s Barrio in Kensington this Wednesday night (Nov. 9th, no school Thursday!) for our annual PATIO PARKA PARTY!!!

That’s right, this year we’ve thrown a little Mexican twist in it, which may seem a little odd, but hey, Spanky wants what he wants. We’ll be serving up $9.50 bulldogs, $4.75 Corona, Pacifico, and Negro Modelo, and of course, $20 Jager shot ski’s (4 shots)! And as usual, we’ll be doing shots through a customized Ski Club ice sculpture up on their patio (did we mention it has heaters?).

On top of all this we will also be premiering a super awesome ski and snowboard movie to get you all stoked for the upcoming season at 11pm from PYP Productions: Amateur Hour. Check out the trailer here.

How does one get a ticket you ask? It’s as simple as just showing up at the door with your Ski Club member card, and the recommended $5 donation to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation – that’s right, we believe in charity, and this charity definitely deserves every penny they receive! And of course, we will be selling memberships at the door for $10.

Art of Flight Pre-Premiere Party!

For all of you who are excited to see the upcoming Art of Flight Premiere this coming weekend, you will definitely be interested in this!

This Friday (Nov. 4th) at the Roadhouse is the Art of Flight Pre-Premiere party featuring DJ Pump, hosted by our friends at Red Bull! Your Ski Club card gets you no line and no cover before 10:30 AND a free Red Bull when you get there! On top of that, Red Bull will be giving a way a trip for 2 to go cat skiing that night as well!!!

It’s that time of year again: HALLOWEEN! How are you going to celebrate? By coming to our party at The Mansion on Saturday, Oct. 29th of course! We’ll be selling tickets all week by the new Fuel For Gold in Mac Hall – $5 gets you no line/no cover until 10pm, a free drink, and for those of you who live near Rez, we’ll have a couple party buses picking up on 24th Ave leaving at 9pm!
